It's the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, so fans all over the world are celebrating like mad! My friend and I are even planning a Harry Potter-themed cooking challenge this week. We're on it.

So in honor of the anniversary, Accio, List of Things Harry Potter Fans Do!

We cook Potter-themed foods.

Like I said above...a HP-themed food challenge is coming my way, but I'm not the only one who's getting in on the action. The food I've seen the most in the past few days? The infamous HAPPEE BIRTHDAE HARRY cake. Break out the cauldron and get to cooking, friends!

We play music from the Harry Potter movies.

Hedwig's Theme is the music you hear in every Harry Potter movie and it's basically the music that just popped into your head when you read this sentence. That single theme will never not be the most nostalgic piece of music of the entire series, which is why it's pretty common to hear fans covering it on various instruments.

We get Harry Potter tattoos.

I think one of the most common tattoos I've seen (besides your basic birds/feathers flying up your arm, of course) is the Deathly Hallows symbol. Let's be honest, you've considered getting one yourself.

We know which Hogwarts house we're in.

For years we all speculated which house we were in, but then Pottermore came along and made things super official. Once you figure out your house, you're free to buy house-specific merchandise, connect with other friends from your house, and start conversations with randos at the bar when you notice their Deathly Hallows tattoo. It's also fun to find out your Patronus and your Ilvermorny house, too.

Go Gryffindor, btw.

We attend Harry Potter-themed events.

Which is obviously a given. There are bar crawls, trivia nights, painting events, Quidditch nights...and the list goes on! Though the below was actually from a gorilla run in Denver, my friends and I made it into a Harry Potter event on our own, obvs.

We dress up our pets as Harry Potter fans.

If we dress ourselves up, we're obviously going to dress up our pets, too. I mean, what if they're secretly an Animagus who loves Harry Potter and wants to show off their fanship?! We're just helping them out.

We visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Not the real one, mostly. But the muggle-made one at Universal Studios. There's Hogwarts, chocolate frogs, butterbeer, wands, and basically everything else to make you feel at home after spending your most of your life pretending to be non-magical.

It's different going back to Hogwarts knowing your house. #gryffindor

We reread the books.

And we do this countless times. It's been 20 years since the first one and we're still acting like it's the first time we've ever read it. The magic never leaves us.

Is there anything else you do as a Harry Potter fan that I didn't mention? Let me know in the comments and maybe we can become friends and go do those things together.

HAPPEE BIRTHDAE, HARRY.
