The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hits theaters on Friday, and after talking to Megan Fox last week, On Air with Ryan got the chance to chat with one of the other humans in the film, Will Arnett.
The actor plays Vern, the cameraman who works with April (Megan) as she covers the news story about the unlikely superheroes. And he says one of the things that drew him to the flick was that it’s something his two sons, Archibald, 5, and Abel, 4, could enjoy too.
“My kids were and still currently are still obsessed with the Turtles and they watch the Nickelodeon animated show all day every day … not all day, I’m not a terrible dad,” Will jokes. “So when this came up, I was like, ‘This is something that I can do that they will find interesting and we can kind of share together.’ It was a total no-brainer.”
Still, Will’s sons have not see TMNT just yet.
“They’re going to see it this week,” he explains. “They’re a little skeptical because in real life they’re very scared of the Shredder, who’s the bad guy. So they’re a little bit nervous. They’ll be fine. More importantly, they don’t really care about me in it. They’re just happy I know the Turtles.”
