Foster Dad Opens His Home To Kids During Pandemic

Here's today's feel-good story:

Peter Mutabazi, a North Carolina dad, was born in Uganda to an abusive father and ran away from home at 10 years old.

He had a difficult childhood but found empathy in his situation. Mutabazi went to college in the UK, and then moved to the United States to work for a non-profit that helps children.

Mutabazi began fostering children in 2017 to create a safe home for kids, something he didn't have as a child.

Today, Mutabazi has fostered several children and has opened his home to those in need during the pandemic.

"My goal (is) to lift up those who have been forgotten and to say you're special, you matter," he said.
