Here's today's feel-good story:
The country of Georgia has a newly appointed crossing guard that helps young children get across safely.
Each morning, a friendly stray dog barks at cars approaching the intersection to wait until the children have crossed with their teacher.
“He’s a very serious boy. He never goes to other streets,” said Tamta, who is part of the community that takes care of Kupata (Georgian for ‘sausage’) the dog.
“Kupata is the lucky one because we all take care of him, but there are other dogs that aren’t lucky—that don’t have shelter, they don’t have food,” she says. “This is a problem in our country.”
