U.S. Child Poverty Is Down 59% in 26 Years

Here's today's feel-good story:

The decline in child poverty rates in the United States in the last quarter century has been unprecedented.

Roughly 1 in 10 children today live in families whose economic and financial resources are below the poverty line.

That equates to a 59% drop in the last 26 years.

This could be attributed to lower unemployment rates and high single-mother labor force participation.
