Oldest Living American Just Turned 115

Here's today's feel-good story:

On November 7th, Bessie Hendricks turned 115 and became the oldest living American.

Born in 1907, Bessie saw two world wars, the invention of synthetic plastic, and many presidents!

"I don't know how you put it into words," Hendricks' daughter Joan Schaffer said. "It's marvelous that we still have her."

"Her mother died when she was about 13," Schaffer said. "I think mom was about 13 years old. And she raised her siblings after that."
