New Study: Going to Concerts Literally Gives You Life

Now this is a study I can get behind...

Researchers at Goldsmiths, University of London found that people who go to concerts get a 21% happiness boost which is more than people who do yoga or walk their dog. What a find!

I've been obsessed with going to concerts since I was 13, so I'm really digging this news. And I must say...going to a concert does seem to boost my mood for at least the entire next day or week (depending on the concert and the artist).

Coincidentally, I feel I've been happier in the past year than I ever have in life...and I've also been to a lot of really good shows. So I've decided to take a walk through Concert Memory Lane to celebrate!

Most recently:

Demi Lovato Tell Me You Love Me Tour

Besides the fact that I'm obsessed with D. Lo, this show was amazing. Demi's voice is just everything. EVERYTHING. And her dance moves made the whole arena just diiiie (in a good way). If you want my full review of her show from a couple of weeks ago, CLICK HERE.

Fall Out Boy at Dave & Jimmy's Jingle Jam 2017

This show was A+ and I'm not afraid to shout it. I'm admittedly a bigger fan of FOB's older stuff, so it pleased me ever so much to hear them bring out some of it during their set. PLUS Pete Wentz's awkward thoughts spoken aloud throughout the show didn't hurt. Defs a good show choice.

Katy Perry's Witness: The Tour

Boy, can Katy put on a show. It was a show just as weirdly charming as you'd expect from KP. The most memorable moment could be summed up in two words: Left Shark. YAS. She made that fish famous. Also, the Ohio joke she threw in there made everyone's day.

Twenty One Pilots Tour de Columbus 2017

There are almost no words to describe how awesome this show was...and I only caught the last show of the six-day tour. These guys have worked SO hard to get where they are and there wasn't a dry eye in the house when they expressed their gratitude to Columbus for helping them get there. My favorite part? The hamster ball into the audience. What could even beat that?

Ariana Grande Dangerous Woman Tour

I don't care how much of a diva we've all heard she is...this girl's got pipes. That talent shines through in her show hardcore. However, the highlight of the whole show for me was Little Mix, who opened for her. THOSE. GIRLS. HAVE. IT. ALL. The voices, the dance moves, the straight up FIRE when they're onstage. I could watch them perform for hours upon hours and never want to leave. 10/10 would recommend. They're extremely underrated in this country, imo.

I'm not even going to lie...even going back through the memories of these shows has me unable to stop smiling. So I 100% believe the study about concerts bringing you such happiness and I will continue to, ahem, "test out" these findings for the rest of my lifetime.
