Danity Kane Members Announce DK3 Reunion Tour

Danity Kane is back! Well, kinda.

Three members (Aubrey O'Day, Dawn Richardand Shannon Bex) of the originally five-woman band are preparing to hit the road for a U.S. tour starting in September. (Not on board this time are Wanita Woodgett and Aundrea Fimbres.)

The group, which was formed by Sean "Diddy "Combs on MTV's Making the Band in 2005will perform under the name DK3, which was the title of their first album as a trio back in 2014.

"This will be the first time in 4 years that the trio has performed together, introducing new music from solo projects as well as coming together performing the Danity Kane hits we all know and love," a press release announcing the tour revealed.

As fans know, Danity Kane has had quite the drama-filled past. DK became a group of three after Diddy kicked Aubrey and Wanita out of the group in 2008. The group then called it quits a year later. However, in 2013 everyone except Wanita reunited for a reunion tour. But even that was short lived as Aundrea left the tour to as soon as it kicked off.

With only three members remaining, DK3 was born. The group even released an album. However, shortly after its release, the group broke up again following a physical fight between Aubrey and Dawn.

"During a recent group meeting, a business conversation took a turn for the worst when my group member punched me in the back of my head while I was speaking to another associate," Aubrey wrote in a statement at the time, without specifying who hit her.

Dawn later told The Breakfast Club, "There is no excuse for my behavior but what I’m saying is everybody gets pushed to a limit. When something is poisoning and you go into the studio and people are literally going behind your back and lying to you and taking your vocals and doing things that are shady that’s foul."

Shannon and Aubrey then went on to form a two-woman girl group, Dumblonde. While Dawn embarked on a solo career.

"We have been through a journey of a lot of ups and downs but on any journey, ya know, it requires the people involved to not be willing to let go of each other and that's what we're on so, we're super grateful to be back in each other's lives," Aubrey told E! News. "To have survived the last round and truly come together as sisters and do it for ourselves and also for the fans."
