Lewis Capaldi Describes Quarantining With His Parents

Lewis Capaldi is being his usual funny, candid self on an Instagram live with Maxwell from Z100 New York. He may be going a little crazy from the quarantine though? "The first week you're like, 'this is not so bad,' and then week two rolls around and you're like, 'if my dad looks at me in that way again...'" Of course Capaldi follows that with, "It's obviously the safe thing to do."

So what has Capaldi been up to during the quarantine? "My screen time was up 40%. It’s so crazy. And i’m already on my phone quite a lot." He continues, "All these other artists are doing livestreams but i’m going to give people a break from seeing my face. I appreciate people doing them though." Capaldi also admits to watching a lot of TedTalks.

In the past week, his buddy (or enemy?) Niall Horan had to make a statement regarding his 'Nice To Meet Ya' Tour that he was going to be going on with Capaldi and singer Fletcher. "It’s a shame man, it’s one of those things," Capaldi sadly reacts to Maxwell. "But hopefully, he says next year and he’s going to keep writing. That’s a silver lining. It’s just a matter of time. It’s definitely the right one. Plenty of opportunities to do shows together and get drunk together."

Horan said in his statement April 3rd:

Given the unprecedented circumstances I have decided to not move forward with the 'Nice To Meet Ya' world tour this year. This was a difficult decision, but the well-being of my fans and touring family is always my top priority. Not being able to tour for what is effectively most of 2020 just didn’t feel right and I’m so sorry to all you amazing people who bought tickets. I look forward to being able to bring new music and a new tour for all of my fans around the world in 2021. I want to announce new dates soon but I don’t think it’s fair on you guys to do so until the dust has settled and things have gone back to normal. For now, all tickets purchased will be refunded. As you all know, touring and having the fortune to play in front of all of you beautiful people is the reason I love my job and my life. I cannot wait to be back. For the time being, please stay safe everyone. Love you all, Nialler.
