Here's today's feel-good story:
11-year-old pit bull Sally-Sue has been waiting over 2 years to get adopted and find her forever home.
Scott Poore owns a company called Mission Driven Goods which is a pet-centric company that promotes products to help long-term shelter pets get adopted. Poore recently purchased a billboard in Kansas, where Sally-Sue's shelter is, to raise awareness for her in hopes of someone adopting her.
“On social media, we tend to promote the same story to the same people,” Poore said. “A billboard, especially on I-35, it’s going to get thousands of views… All we need is that one right person to go by, make eye contact with the billboard, and we’re saving another life.”
Poore is working to get a more permanent fixture in place to raise more awareness for long-term shelter pets one pooch at a time.
