Here's today's feel-good story:
Billy Macon, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday, is a husband, father, and grandfather. He is an author, ran his own business, and enjoys hobbies as well.
Macon graduated from West Anchorage High School in 1961, and his diploma always had a red stamp in the middle of it that displayed the text "this student met minimum state requirements.” It was a constant reminder of pain for Macon throughout the years. He never displayed the certificate publicly, and always kept it in a bag.
When looking to celebrate his birthday and make it special, Macon's granddaughter Tafena Timpson looked to remedy his diploma situation.
