Japanese researchers have discovered that 30-60 minutes of yoga, lifting, or gardening per week can reduce risk of death by 10-20%.
When these activities are combined with aerobic exercise such as running, cycling, or swimming, the percentage went up to 40%.
With an age range of 18-97, and a monitoring period of 2-25 years, the study consisted of more than half a million healthy adults.
