Here's today's feel-good story:
A Vermont-based startup company called Beta creates electric vertical take-off and landing planes, known as "eVTOL"s.
The company is the only western aviation firm that is serious about developing a vehicle that can reach as high as a jet with the same speed, but able to take-off and land like a helicopter.
Beta just completed a $375 million financing round with many companies interested in the technology.
“Zero emissions aviation is a critical part of turning the corner on climate change, and we are thrilled that our investors see our electric aviation system as a meaningful step towards this ambitious goal,” said Kyle Clark, executive director of Beta.
