Here's today's feel-good story:
Regular family dinners can be the key to reducing household stress levels.
The American Heart Association recently did a survey on chronic stress as it relates to heart disease.
Of the 1,000 U.S. adults surveyed, 91% credit sharing meals together as a stress reducer.
“Sharing meals with others is a great way to reduce stress, boost self-esteem and improve social connection, particularly for kids,” said M.D, M.H.S, and American Heart Association volunteer from Johns Hopkins, Erin Michos. “Chronic, constant stress can also increase your lifetime risk of heart disease and stroke, so it is important for people to find ways to reduce and manage stress as much as possible, as soon as possible.”
