Here's today's feel-good story:
Jess Mell, a 34-year-old who struggles with depression, has found a way to improve her mental health by doing something new every day for a year.
During the pandemic, Jess made her realize that she was dependent on her routine to keep her going. Last December she decided to try something new every day for 100 days and kept it up through the whole year.
“I feel pretty emotional about it to be honest,” she said. “I can’t believe it.
“I wanted to finish it off with something exciting, so in the end I finished up by convincing my dad to let me sit on the roof of his car as he drove down the road,” she said. “My final one was making my first ever Instagram reel of some of the things I’d done in the year.”
