Here's Today's Feel-Good Story:
Whether you are giving or receiving flowers for Valentine's Day, there are some tips to make the flowers last longer.
One tip is to pick the right flowers from a local florist, if possible. These typically are fresher and last longer. Lilies, carnations, zinnias, and chrysanthemums all last the longest.
Another tip is to prep the stems by cutting the ends at a 45-degree angle and shear off any leaves that fall below the waterline. Then use lukewarm water.
Keep the flowers in a cool, dry place and out of sunlight where they could wilt.
