Fraternity Suspended After Forcing Dog To Drink Beer

A Hofstra University fraternity was suspended after a video of members forcing a dog to drink beer went viral on Twitter.

NBC reports the video was taken Saturday at an off-campus fraternity house. The dog belongs to a 21-year-old senior and member of Alpha Epsilon Pi. The Nassau County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is currently investigating the incident.

The fraternity's headquarters tweeted Sunday (5/12) a statement saying the Hofstra chapter has been suspended "due to suspected violations of our health and safety policies." They added, "We hope this can be a teaching moment to help build better young men who are committed to our mission and values."
