It was a BIG night for Jeopardy! because there was a VERY special guest... that a lot of us may not have even recognized until people pointed it out online.
Let me show you:
Do you see that second contestant they introduce?
Without googling his name... could you guess why you might know him and consider him a total surprise to be competing on Jeopardy!?
Well, get ready to be shocked.
Because that's Mike Teevee from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory which came out back in 1971!
Obviously Paris Themmen was a child actor back that, but that didn't keep people from totally losing it that he was BACK ON TV to compete!
See the hilarious reactions on Twitter:
One person missed the opening of the show and didn't realize who it was until host Alex Trebek repeated his name
Others wondered how NO ONE ELSE was freaking out over this moment:
One knew EXACTLY who Paris Themmen was from the moment Alex said his name:
But apparently Paris actually goes out and meets fans and signs autographs every year! So there are people that know exactly what he looks like, despite the movie having come out when he was just a kid.
This isn't the first time Mike TV has made his way back onto TV, though! In 2015, he and his Willy Wonka costars Peter Ostrum (Charlie Bucket), Michael Bollner (Augustus Gloop), Julie Dawn Cole (Veruca Salt), Denise Nickerson (Violet Beauregarde) and Rusty Goffe (an Oompa Loompa) reunited on Today.
At that time, he revealed that the cast still stays in touch! He said they consider themselves "a family, maybe a bit of a dysfunctional family, but a family really."
Who would have thought that the cast would stay in touch so many years later?! It's so sweet to think of the kids who got to run around the chocolate factory still being friends.
By the way, Paris came in second place on Jeopardy! with $6,800 in winnings.
