I could talk about Mindy Kaling for hours. I've said it once and I'll say it again, girl is just living her absolute best life right now! She has her new baby girl, Katherine who she calls Kit, she's starring in Ocean's 8 alongside stars like Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock, and Rihanna, and she was just in a movie with the one and only Oprah.
Not to mention she is hilarious and apparently tried to get people at the Met Gala to believe that she and Chadwick Boseman were an item.
Yep! Her reasoning for that was that they were sitting next to each other during the dinner portion of the night, and they both attended the event solo, so why not have some fun and make people think they were an item?

Mindy says she and Jimmy saw each other briefly at the event but then he was "gone like a puff of smoke" and then went on the explain how she sat next to Chadwick, "Black Panther himself!"
"I don't know Chadwick at all, he looked extremely handsome... he was sitting next to me and I felt like I kept kind of trying to make it seem like we were together."
But was he in on these jokes?
"No, no, he hated it. He thought it was weird."
Well, it's okay Mindy, I'm sure there are a LOT of other people who would be totally cool with you pretending to be dating them for a night.
Mindy also opened up with Jimmy about her daughter Kit and the "pinstripe pajamas" that he sent over when Kit was born.
"You sent her these like, very old fashioned, formal, pinstriped pajamas... it's the cutest thing, she looks like an old billionaire man!"
Ok, well now I'm REALLY sad that we don't get to see photos of Kit in said pinstripe pajamas, but I also have a lot of respect for the way she is opening talking about her daughter while still keeping her privacy.
Now, Chadwick, what do you say about pretending to be with Mindy some other time?!
