Anna Faris Opens Up About Co-Parenting, As Ex Chris Pratt Gets Engaged

Well, you probably heard the news and stunned (and also excited!!) us this morning: Chris Pratt is an engaged man once again! Chris shared a sweet photo with now-fiance Katherine Schwarzenegger with her large engagement ring in the forefront and the caption: "Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go! "

The post is incredibly sweet and the couple - who was first spotted together on Father's Day of 2018 (aka, not all that long ago) - is even sweeter. There's nothing NOT to love about them!

But some people's minds immediately went to: what about Anna Faris? She and Chris announced they were getting divorced in August 2017.

Yeah, I wondered how she felt, too! But Anna commented on the photo of the newly engaged couple, writing, "I'm so happy for you both!! Congratulations".

Anna also just opened up about she and Chris' ability to co-parent their 6-year-old son Jack and it sounds like this former couple, who are both in happy and healthy relationships now, kind of have it figured out.

The pair even went trick or treating with Jack AND both of their significant others for Halloween!

On co-parenting, Anna says: "Chris and I work really hard 'cause we have Jack, that is sort of the long game idea and making sure Jack is really happy, which makes us really happy... We have sort of the luxury of circumstance. You know, we are both in other loving relationships. … But It’s like, how do you not in general sink into a place of bitterness?"

The couple's divorce was finalized in October of last year, and while we know Chris just got engaged to Katherine, Anna has also been in a relationship for a while now with cinematographer Michael Bennet.

She does admit, though, that there is always some bitterness in break ups.

"Everyone acknowledges that there’s bitterness and pain with all breakups... But the long game, and it’s just the worst being the bigger person. It just is... what [matters most] is that everyone's happy."

The idea of just wanting everyone to be really happy brings us back to Anna's comment on Chris' Instagram of the engagement. I have to believe he probably gave her a heads up before sharing the big news with the world. And it really does seem like they function on the idea that if they are both happy, and more importantly, their son is happy, then in the long run, things will work out.

Good on them! And congratulations to Chris and Katherine on their engagement.
