Tiffani Thiessen Does Screen-less Dinnertime And Admits 'Parenting is Hard'

There are a lot of celebs out there who know a thing or two about parenting - but someone who knows how to keep screen time limited, especially around dinner time? I want to hear it all because that is the ultimate goal.

Tiffani Thiessen just opened up about how she and her family - husband Brady Smith and their kids, 6 year old Harper and 3 year old, Holt - do screen-less dinners.

Tiffani and Brady just released a children's book titled "You're Missing It" which is all about - you guessed it! - putting your phones away and actually enjoying the things around you.

The title of the book, and the entire inspiration behind it actually came from Brady doing the "one hand push" on the swing with one of their kids and looking at his phone at the same time, when his wife opened the kitchen window and yelled "you're missing it!" at him.

Now thanks to the book and bringing in less screen time to their household, Tiffani and Brady actually say that their daughter Harper will call them out whenever she catches them on the phone. She will simply lean over to them and say, "hey, you're missing it."

And I don't know about you, but having a kid call you out on screen time and not vice versa... THAT is amazing.

Brady stresses to parents that when you're on the phone, "you're missing out on these beautiful, fleeting moments of childhood," and now I'm even more stressed about the time I spend on my phone when my kids are around! I don't want to miss ANYTHING.

Tiffani did admit that as much as they don't use screen time, sometimes it's hard not to!

"It's hard! Parenting is hard! Sitting at a restaurant with a 3 year old is not easy... so I get that... sometimes it's easier to have them watch something while you're trying to have dinner, I totally understand it... the bigger lesson of it all is that I like seeing our kids talking about what we're eating, talking about our day..."

Do you do screen-less dinners? I definitely plan on it as the kids get older and older!
