And then there were three! The Bachelor's Arie Luyendyk Jr. and wife Lauren Burnham have welcomed a baby girl!!
The couple had been posting from the hospital, where Lauren endured a long labor - spanning from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday afternoon. Arie shared videos of Lauren pushing HIM in a wheel chair as a joke (and then the pair getting in trouble by a nurse!), as well as footage from inside the hospital while Lauren waited out her contractions.
At one point, Lauren and Arie were emotional wrecks after Lauren had done a "practice push" and seeing them together and so emotional and excited for the arrival of their daughter got me a little teary, too!
Arie shared an Instagram story after she arrived sharing that she was here and that mom and baby were doing well, and hours later the couple both shared photos of their new baby girl on Instagram with the announcement of her sweet name:
Alessi Ren Luyendyk. So cute.
Lauren and Arie had teased their baby girl's "unique" name months ago, and revealed they had picked the name only a month after announcing they were pregnant!
Lauren revealed:
“It was a name we kind of tweaked into something unique... We don’t really know anybody who’s named that.”
And now she's HERE!!
If you recall, this Bachelor couple has had quite the journey to this moment. Lauren was one of the women who competed for Arie's heart in his season of The Bachelor, but he ultimately broke things off with her during the final rose ceremony and proposed to Becca Kufrin.
Then, Bachelor Nation watched painfully as Arie broke up with Becca during one of their "happy couple" weekends weeks after their engagement, and he revealed that he had been thinking about Lauren and wanted to be with Lauren. YIKES.
But! Obviously there is a happy ending here. Arie went on to propose to Lauren at the After The Final Rose episode, and Becca went on to become The Bachelorette, where she ultimately got engaged to Garrett who is still her fiance a year later.
Arie and Lauren announced their pregnancy in November, got married in Maui in January and now, grew their family by one. So happy for the new parents!!
