I've said it before and I will say it again: there is something about Jimmy Kimmel's Mean Tweets. There is just something about watching people who are SO loved by SO many read the tweets about themselves that are... less favorable.
Some people respond with full humor. Some people act a little offended (though, let's face it, they have probably read worse about themselves.) And I love that you can tell they really haven't read this tweet until the moment they're being filmed.
The latest edition of the late night show series is the Music Edition #6 and features some of our favorite artists like Billie Eilish and Lizzo. There's also Chance The Rapper and Cardi B and sooo many funny moments that you just need to watch it for yourself:
The tweet Billie read said: “Billie Eilish dresses like she got her clothes stolen at the gym so they gave her what they had in the lost n found bin.” and she just frowned at the message.
Chance The Rapper's tweet may have been the most cruel: "Chance the Rapper? More like Chance the worthless, spineless, d—less, soulless, purposeless, virtueless sellout. Nice Doritos commercial."
And Chance's response was, of course, hilarious, saying "there's people that don't like me?" I MEAN, I'm not sure who wouldn't like Chance, he's really the best.
And then there was Lizzo's moment of mean tweeting. Her tweet read: “Bus passes and happy meals. Two things that I imagine Lizzo has seen a lot of.” and in true Lizzo fashion, she used it to remind people how fabulous she really is.
“Yeah, I’m a big b*** and I ride a bus. A tour bus motherf—. Where is yours?”
Only Lizzo could respond that way.
Please never stop doing these Mean Tweets, Jimmy. I love it so much!
