Here's today's feel-good story:
A new survey of 2,000 adults finds that 40% of them want to be greener in the new year.
27% of the adults plan on doing things like washing clothes in the cold cycle, and 1/3 of adults will cut down on meat intake.
Other changes include using a reusable water bottle, taking shorter showers, and growing vegetables.
“It’s great to see how many people recognize the benefits of living more sustainably—not just for the planet, but in making our everyday lives healthier and more cost-effective," said Marc Robson, Smart Energy Expert at British Gas who commissioned the survey.
“There are so many small steps we can take around the home to be greener and save on our energy costs—and being energy-efficient is also getting easier with the help of technology."
