Here's today's feel-good story:
Scientists have found that exercise counters the damage that diabetes can have on the body by activating a natural system that grows new blood vessels when existing ones are damaged.
The CDC says that one in ten Americans have diabetes, a disease that damages existing blood vessels and hinders the ability to create new ones.
Now we know that even 45 minutes of exercise goes a long way toward delivering more helpful exosomes to cells.
“Not unlike the most sophisticated and efficient delivery services we have all come to rely upon, particularly during the pandemic, what exosomes carry depends on where they come from and where they are headed,” says MCG vascular biologist and cardiologist Dr. Tohru Fukai.
