Here's today's feel-good story:
A child that was given the prognosis of 6-12 months to live after doctors found a tumor is now cancer-free, defying all of the odds.
Leanne and Chris Waite were dressing their three-year-old when they noticed his arm was in severe pain. Doctors found the lump on his collarbone and was diagnosed with a rhabdoid tumor with no more than 12 months to live.
He bravely underwent chemotherapy and radiation and was left with a scar across his neck.
“I cannot even explain the shock of finding out Albie had cancer,” said Leanne. “It went from an injury to a prognosis."
“Watching him bounce back to the boisterous child he was before is just amazing.”
