Here's Today's Feel-Good Story:
The Rainbow Bridge poem has comforted pet owners around the world who have lost a furry friend.
Remaining authorless for many years, the writer of the poem has finally been revealed as Edna Clyne-Rekhy, an 82-year-old Scottish artist and animal lover. She was 19 years old at the time of writing it and grieving the loss of Major, her Labrador retriever. Her mother told her to write down what she was feeling.
“It just came through my head, it was like I was talking to my dog—I was talking to Major,” she says. “I just felt all of this and I had to write it.”
