WWE superstar Seth Rollins broke his silence on his knee injury while guest hosting the Rich Eisen Show on Wednesday (July 16).
Rollins, 39, appeared to injure his knee during his match against LA Knight on the live episode of Saturday Night's Main Event and was absent from the live broadcast of RAW Monday (July 14) night. The five-time world champion said he felt his knee "kind of pop and buckle" and confirmed he went to the renowned Andrews Sports Medicine facility during WWE's stop in Birmingham, but it was "too swollen" to undergo an MRI and would need to be evaluated at a later date.
“There was some imaging; it was a little too swollen, so we’re going to take another look, hopefully in a week or two here in LA,” Rollins said on the Rich Eisen Show. “Try to get some sort of firm diagnosis and we can go from there. I am not a doctor, I only know my body and what I feel. What I feel is that this is going to be me out for an extended period of time.”
WWE Hall of Famer and chief content officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque said Rollins' injury "doesn't look good" during his press conference after the Evolution premium live event Sunday (July 13) night.
"I'm sure somebody here will ask about Seth, I'll just say right now a little bit inconclusive, doesn't look good. But we're in Birmingham tomorrow," Levesque said.
Rollins had previously undergone multiple knee surgeries at the Andrews Sports Medicine facility, having suffered a torn ACL, MCL and medial meniscus in 2015 and re-injured his knee in early 2017. The 39-year-old also suffered an MCL injury in January 2024, which he wrestled through for three months, concluding with two matches at WrestleMania 40, before returning to action in July of that same year.
