Offset now claims he never posted about claiming Cardi B and Stefon Diggs' newborn child as his own.

The former couple have been at odds for over a year amid their bitter divorce battle, but things went left over the weekend after the Atlanta native reportedly posted and deleted an Instagram Story that said "My kid lol." In response, Bardi told fans the alleged harassment and threats she'd received from Offset since they split up last year made her feel like her life was in danger. Now Offset claims Cardi got all bent out of shape over "misinformation."

"Any statements attributed to Offset circulating on social media are completely fabricated," a rep for Offset told TMZ. "Cardi responded to misinformation, and the situation escalated unnecessarily. Offset has remained supportive of Cardi and genuinely wishes her nothing but the best."

Offset's alleged post inspired trolls to flood social media timelines with claims that the Migos rapper could claim his soon-to-be ex-wife's new child as his own son. According to Fennell, Briasco & Associates, men "who have fathered children out of wedlock must take the affirmative step of establishing legitimation before the state of Georgia will recognize their paternal rights under state law... Alternatively, when a child is born to a married couple, under Georgia law, the father is automatically recognized as the father and husband." Because Cardi B and Offset haven't finalized their divorce, fans think Offset trolled Bardi and Diggs by claiming he could claim the paternity of their newborn child.
