Cardi B made a shocking confession about what happened the last time she tried to perform in Indiana.
The "Bodega Baddie" hit the stage for her "Little Miss Drama Tour" at Gainbridge Fieldhouse arena in Indianapolis on Saturday night, March 14. Before she performed "I Like It," Bardi recalled the time when someone allegedly called in a bomb threat before she was scheduled to perform at the same venue in 2019.
“They sent a terroristic threat! They said they was gonna bomb our show,” Bardi told the crowd. “I was like, ‘Hold on, muthaf**kers. They want to bomb me?’"
"B***h, I was scared!" she continued. "And everybody online was cursing me out … saying that I was lying and s**t. But I would never do that to y’all. I would never cancel on y’all. But safety first!"
According to Complex, the incident happened in Summer 2019. At the time, the venue was known as Bankers Life Fieldhouse, and Cardi was booked to perform a one-off concert. The show was cancelled abruptly just before it was scheduled to begin. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department cited an "unverified threat” to Cardi B and investigated the venue.
“Dear Indiana people I’m so sorry for today," Cardi wrote in a letter to her fans. "I will like to let you know I was at the venue I was even rehearsing a new move I been excited to do on my show. Unfortunately there was a security threat that is currently under investigation right now. My safety and your safety first.'"
The show was rescheduled for a few months later. She hadn't been back since then, so she made sure to give her fans in Indianapolis another unforgettable show. Cardi B has performed at several sold-out concerts since she kicked off her "Little Miss Drama Tour" last month. She's also brought out special guests, including GloRilla, Kehlani, Blueface, Rob49, Megan Thee Stallion and, just recently, Kash Doll. Check out scenes from her performance with Kash Doll below.
