Here's today's feel-good story:
Lawrence Brooks, the oldest living World War II veteran is celebrating his 112th birthday in Louisiana.
Brooks celebrated his birthday on Sunday with a drive-by party at his home in New Orleans hosted by the National World War II Museum.
He received many good wishes including from Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards, who tweeted, “Mr. Brooks, the entire state of Louisiana thanks you for your service and we all wish you a joyous birthday.”
The drive-by celebration included a parade, live performances, and entertainment as well as the city officially recognizing Brooks with an official proclamation.
