Here's today's feel-good story:
There are many events this month that has astronomers very excited. Venus is at its brightest, and the Full Cold Moon will happen on December 18th.
The biggest one is perhaps the most active meteor shower of 2021 on December 13th, taking place in the form of the Geminids.
Farmer's Almanac states that with a clear sky "“free of moonlight, you can easily spot 50 or more meteors per hour. On an optimum night for the Geminids, it may even be possible to see up 100 meteors per hour.”
