Here's today's feel-good story:
Changing up your diet to avoid heart disease and cancer could add 11-13 years to your life.
Usually, large-scale diet studies can be problematic for a number of different reasons. But a large meta-analysis has found that, if a 20-year-old woman replaces refined grains with legumes and whole grains, as well as increases her intake of fish and nuts, she could potentially add 10 years to her life, while a 30-year-old male could add up to 13 years.
Nuts, legumes, and whole grains are rich in fiber and can reduce risk of heart disease and cancer that can extend ones life exectancy.
