Here's today's feel-good story:
A study 30 years in the making of over 110,000 health professionals has found that avocados can lower the risks of cardiovascular disease, compared to those that rarely eat the vegetable.
At least two servings of avocado are recommended in order to achieve these lowered risks. Replacing products that are derived from animals, such as cheese, butter, or bacon with avocado also helps to lower the risk of cardiovascular disease events.
This study is located in the Journal of the American Heart Association which is an open access, peer-reviewed journal of the AHA.
