Here's today's feel-good story:
Swedish scientists have designed a microchip that is able to store energy as a liquid, which is then shipped to China to convert into electricity.
With solar energy becoming more popular, entrepreneurs and scientists everywhere are racing to develop the most efficient way of storing energy.
“This is a radically new way of generating electricity from solar energy,” said Kasper Moth-Poulsen, research leader and Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Chalmers University. “It means that we can use solar energy to produce electricity regardless of weather, time of day, season, or geographical location.”
