A team of scientists are developing an injectible gene therapy to cure heart disease.
These types of diseases known as genetic cardiomyopathies are generally passed on to offspring at a 50/50 chance, which could kill young adults in their prime years.
The British Heart Foundation recently awarded a £30 million grant to a team of scientists to help develop the treatment.
