Here's Today's Feel-Good Story:
A man who lost all movement in his legs after suffering a spinal cord injury in an accident is now using a device that connects to his brain to stimulate the nervous system and command electrical signals.
When Ger-Jan Oskam thinks about moving his legs, it sends a signal to a computer he wears which then controls his spinal cord to prompt his legs to move.
“The stimulation before was controlling me, and now I’m controlling the stimulation,” he said.
