Here's Today's Feel-Good Story:
Happy Juneteenth! Juneteenth marks an essential chapter in American history, celebrating every June 19th as the end of slavery.
In 1865, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were informed by Union soldiers that they were free. This came after President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation which outlawed slavery.
There are many ways to celebrate, including by learning and growing, giving back, dancing, and having a freedom feast!
